Tonight I began the 4th album in my Muse inspired dancing naked sessions. I’ve begun going through all 7 of their albums in no particular order. Even though the album order is random I have been listening to the songs as they are listed from beginning to end. Although this is the case I tend to listen to songs multiple times after I’m done with them. I also notice that I like to listen to the songs in 3’s because of this. Muse’s songs often to tend to be longer than the typical pop song and can last up to 6 or 7 minutes. There are musical interludes, guitar solos, and technologic soundscapes that fill the time. Here are the albums I’ve done so far:
- The Second Law
- Origin of Symmetry
- Black Holes and Revelations
“Showbiz” is Muse’s first studio recorded album that was released in the United Kingdom fall of 1999. I probably didn’t listen to the album until about 2006 or 2007. I think it’s intriguing to revisit this album, their debut, and see how far they’ve come in the last 15 years. I’ll have to say that I’m still very impressed and really enjoy this album. It’s not as fresh in my mind as the others so I will enjoy exploring it’s terrain all over again.
