Day 76-77: Scissor Sisters Dance Party

Soooo, I asked if anyone had any suggestions for albums to dance naked to. Jennifer Mendenhall recommended the first album of Scissor Sisters. Well I danced naked to the whole album and loved it! đź’•Thanks for the suggestion Jen, I got through it in two days. That’s so cool you saw them live! đź’–BrynnPossible

Day 75: Scoliosis

Sometimes I completely forget that I have Scoliosis. It’s mild but it is noticeable when I bend over and when I lay on my back one rib is higher than the other. Besides than the fact that I wish I could be an inch taller and occasionally have back soreness, it hasn’t really kept me from dancing or doing things in my life. For some people I know this can be life altering, especially at a young age when you have to wear a brace. I’m more aware of it because of my daily dancing naked sessions and I think that’s a good reminder when I’m focusing my energy and breathing, just something to be mindful of. Im totally cool being just a little bit crooked! #dancenaked365project #scoliosis #alittlebitcrooked

Day 73: Naked Kitty Dance

When we think of cats they tend to have hair, be fluffy, fuzzy balls of cuteness. There are breeds of hairless cats but are they only then naked? Is a hairy man without clothes on suddenly not naked? Before I get into anything too exhistential about my illustration my thoughts point to nakedness and what that means to individuals. To me. Personally I think removing barriers or metephorical cloaks from ourselves to reveal what I believe to be our true selves, the bodies, skin, and hair we were born with, that is nakedness to me. So dance naked kitty, dance.

Day 67-71

Well friends, for the past week I’ve been on holiday in Louisiana! I’ve been dancing naked and clocking my times. To be honest I had a whirlwind day and completely forgot but danced an extra long session the next day. I’ve visited New Orleans, participated in the Crawfish Festival, eaten boudin and binets, and even caught a glimpse of an alligator while canoeing in the bayou at Martin’s Lake! I’m a little behind but I do have some illustrations for you.

I finished the final Alt-J album and moved on to Fallout Boy. I didn’t realize how much I like this band! It reminds me of being in high school and all the fond memories that come with that. It’s not really Louisiana music but it definitely keeps me entertained. Still open to suggestions! Please post below!

Finding time to dance naked when you’re visiting your boyfriend’s family has been an fun challenge. Telling them about my blog is always an interesting conversation but 2 and a half months in, I’m pretty happy with it!

This illustrations capture my final days with the band Alt-J. I attempted to recreate their album cover and was inspired by their song “Hunger of the Pine” for the “I’m a Female Rebel” illustration that incorporated the album art into her hair style.

My final day with Alt-J’s “This is all Yours” album, “Puller” is my answer to their song “Pusher”. For me it’s seems that pulling keeps me from just letting go.

Finally we have “Dance , Dance” which captures my time here in Louisiana and my Fallout Boy musical experience.

Day 66: “Every Other Freckle”

Just landed in Dallas for a layover before heading to Lafayette, Louisiana. Inspired by my session last night listening to Alt-J’s “Every other Freckle”. There is a small birthmark just below my right butt cheek that I always forget about. I’m just pondering on all the little spots old and new on my body. Freckles, moles, scars are all signs of life, age, and experience. New Orleans here I come!

Day 65: Bun

Happy Friday! Just began Alt-J’s second album last night and it’s pretty sweet. I continued my train of thought from the last album into this illustration.

Day 63 & 63!

Hey lovely people! One exciting thing that happened is that my computer stopped working! No biggie it’s just at the local Mac repair shop (Shout out to Denver Mac Repair). Meanwhile I’ll be posting via iPhone with my WordPress app. Below you will find my post for days 62 and 63. It’s a tandem illustration, the left being my version on Alt-J’s album “An Awesome Wave” and the right being inspired by their song “Something Good”.

I can’t believe I’m only 2 months into Dance Naked 365! I’ve become more illustration focused to express my thoughts after my sessions and if I have anything else to say I just add it in but it’s no longer a requirement in my mind. Alt-J only has 2 albums to this will be short lived. Still looking for suggestions to get out of my comfort zone, so if you have any please let me know!

Love,

Brynn Possible
